A Latte for Mahsa

After the death of Mahsa Amini, an Iranian refugee in a Hamilton coffee shop is inspired to commit a small act of rebellion, when she gives Mahsa’s name to the barista. Unfortunately, a viral video by a controversial influencer places all three of them at the center of a storm online. Looking at the big consequences of small actions, A Latte for Mahsa is a play about social activism, social media, & the power of both.
